89.99999999 DennyCrane.
I was so good last week, exercised heaps and ate really good, but my weight is still 89.9999999. However the week was DennyCrane extreme and my worklifebalance was thrown out of wack. I really struggled with some serious stress last week and I am wondering if that slowed my metabolism down - as in times of stress you body can release one of two different hormones. Cortisol releases in the body and causes you to retain(gain) weight when stressed.
God where do I start with the DC week? First it was stuff over my decision to take the team to Malaya (restaurant not the country) Another manager caught wind of it and complained to DC. What upset me the most was DC taking unconstructive, unhelpful mean spirited bullshit bitching from an uneducated inexperienced dumbarsed manager(peer)and 1) believing it 2) sharing it with me. Like what my team is not worthy? Do my team get to go on PM junkets, get paid $10-15K a year more like the PM team. My team don't waste their staff expenses budget on dodgy breakfasts and cocktail team building skills, they prefer to have a nice classy meal once a quarter (and they deserve it) - and this mean spirited bitch manager feels like she can disapprove AND DC didnt support me. Thats it. I didn't get support. Regardless of all the shit - he didn't stand up for me. And that is not acceptable to me.
This is so culturally off the mark from our corporate culture its not funny. On top of that we had our co. big anniversary party - we were asked to invite people from the past - the person I nominated HN was left off the list but JO who was only ever employed as a sales support (who rooted one of our married supplier reps *gosh how Bold and the Beautiful is my blog tonigh*) was there. Other things at work are troubling me. The ethics of some and the techniques being deployed by some of the younger female managers, saddens me as a woman, and cheapens the hard work and determination that the rest of us have done. I mean if someone can be promoted into a Mgt position with no uni degree, no decent experience (apart from playing the skinflute at a company conference in 1999)and no technical skill set - its just plain.....dumb. You would think being with the co for a long time she would have taken advantage of the study program to gain a degree to back up what she supposively can do. I really hated work last week.
I knocked back the 130K job at Linfox cause the spec they have is really a 150-175k job and I am not jumping or changing roles to take on someone elses shit. I want someone to appreciate me, my skillset, my resume, my degrees and my talent AND to remunerate me/compensate/reward me.
But another opportunity has come along...I have had 2 interviews for - and if it progresses to the next level I will tell DC & MD. AsiaPac HRM. Package is $125Kinc super, but it involves regular travel to SEAsia and my boss will be based in Japan. So its kinda my dream role (expat based in Asia) whilst still based in Sydney. The role is based in Nthern Sydney so I would have to go over the bridge *screams* but this opportunity /company culture/role is sounding really good.
This week I am off to NZ to do some training over there and catch up with some of the awesome managers in our NZ office. I wish some of them could be replicated in our head office. They are true professionals who can still have fun and be mutually supportive.
Empirebuildingskinfluteplayingdumbarsedbitches shit me...end rant now...
*sighs* I feel betterer now.
